Traditional Newar Buddhist Monastery (Vihara).
In it housed one of the Five Dipankara Buddhas of Bhaktapur.
Partially damaged 2015 by earthquake.
One of the 23 Bahals resp. Bahils in Bhaktapur acc. John K. Locke (1985).
c. 1750 Kumari-Kult, the Royal Kumari has her origin in this Bahal.
